Re: News & Discussion: CBD Retail

So the one day of the week Coles doesn't open at midnight, you whinge about - I'm sure the other 6 days a week the backpackers can head to coles at midnight, other than that there's OTR, plus there are 4 IGA's in the CBD

[PRO] Re: 3-27 Walsh Street, Thebarton | 26m | 8 Levels | Apartmen

It looks good, but it contains 41 studio apartments that's almost half of the apartments, they are a good size for studios though 51-59 sqm, there's only 3 two bedroom and 1 three bedroom apartment, it's a bit of disappointment. There should be a lot more two bedroom apartments, and a lot less studi...

Re: [PRO] Glenelg Jetty Hotel and Marine Research Centre | $

Building a bigger better jetty is a good idea, I think a hotel is a bit over the top, maybe a venue like what St Kilda (Melbourne) has but modern, like a cafe / restaurant - live music space etc and a wharf for cater-marines (jet cats?) to KI and YP.

Guangzhou is massive, the metro area has a similar population to Australia.
I wonder how much the airfares will be, would be a nice cheap trip to Asia.

If student numbers fall, they could just renovate and turn it into a normal apartment building.

[U/C] Re: [PRO] 236-238 The Parade Norwood, Bath Hotel $11.5m

Cheaper public transport would be good, like have a cap on the Metrocard say like $8 a day for full fare, another bigger issue is more regular services, trams will fix this, people prefer trams over buses, buses are seen as unreliable. Norwood has 5800 people (2011 census), this complex has 55 apart...

So they're planning an 8 story building in an industrial area? https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/27+Walsh+St,+Thebarton+SA+5031/@-34.9142693,138.5758537,124m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x6ab0cf49a9d79b7d:0x402cd6a1be3c7538 http://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-industrial+warehouse-sa-thebarton-5...

Pfft amateurs... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sp77AjBdlEc I was looking over the long term outlines for the N-S corridor and I was wondering what the provisions are (if any) are for on/off ramps in the vicinity of the inner CBD loop? Anyone seen anything about this? There will be an interchange ...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Also with the OH line we could order multiple sized units, we probably would need at least 30 new trams (as someone said earlier) we could use some of the older trams, we currently have 17 trams, 11 Flexity and 6 Citadis 302. If we bought: 18 x 39m - 90 seats 12 x 30m -65 seats The smaller trams wou...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

A tram to Port Adelaide every 15 min out of peak is better then one 2 carriage train, yes it will seat less people the tram would seat about 70 to 80 the train 200 to 220. The tram would be able to seat about 280 an hour compared to 400 on the train. This is based on the current trams (flexity) whic...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Remove parking on the parade and make it one lane for trams and one for cars, no right turns between Fullarton and Portrush Roads (except for Osmond Tce). The Parade isn't a through route to anywhere, (further out suburbs can be easily reach by Magill or Kensington Rds).

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

The biggest mistake they made with the section between the Entertainment Centre and West Terrace is the fact that it was run down the middle of Port Road. They would have been better off running it alongside Port Road through Bonython Park on its own dedicated corridor. No traffic lights. Exactly, ...
