More construction and it's another one of the new talls. This is exciting.

Makes me feel proud seeing trams in our CBD - you could almost mistake Adelaide for a modern progressive city :)
Er, trams have been in the CBD since 2007. Longer even if you count the terminus of the Glenelg line being at Vic Square before that.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains

The south east/west corners of the city should be built up with residential towers. The only residential towers that should exist outside of those areas, should be around the east end, and in mixed use developments. By building up the south west of the city, it would justify a second city train sta...

It has to say something about the Advertiser's employee demographic that for the mockup of a building to potentially be built 2019> they choose one that was made in the early 90s.

Phew. Seeing this thread had been posted in again after a while made me worried there was a problem with this building too.

Also The Storeys on Surflen Street. So basically 70-80% of all recent high-rise developments? It does seem that way, i'm unsure about the exact percentage but it does seem to represent a large proportion of new developments. Adelaide must be a notoriously difficult city for developers to make a buc...

Vue is 89 metres so yes, this is taller.
Cool. Although it was hard to tell, when I was looking at it on the weekend I thought it was taller.

Re: News & Discussion: Cycling

Alright, I'll answer your questions. What's the big deal of a cyclist using his eyes to look at the vehicle in FRONT that has it's indicator on, indicating it is about to turn left, and slowing down or stopping? There isn't any. But this case is situational. Either the cyclist slows down and waits o...

Re: News & Discussion: Cycling Infrastructure

So in your fantasy world, which presumably you share with Westside, all cyclists, lycra or no lycra, do this do they? I have never seen a single lycra cyclist do this. I don't wear lycra. And yes, I often see cyclists doing this, i.e waiting for vehicles in the bike lane to leave. Some cyclists doi...

Re: News & Discussion: Squares and Parklands

Meant to put this up the other day but a group have made a submission to the ACC to build a treetop walk in the southern parklands (between Adelaide Hockey Club and Adelaide Bocci Club) which will also include zip lines. I'll dig out the submission and post here later. That sounds cool and a good u...

Re: News & Discussion: Cycling Infrastructure

Rev, I don't know if you're being serious or having a laugh, but you're being completely narrow minded. Acting like the majority of cyclists are "lycra wearing" self centred idiots with no regard for road rules, nor anyone or anything but themselves, is plain incorrect. Those sorts of riders are in ...
