Re: 250 homes to be demolished for 650 new ones
Would be nice if Housing SA finished projects before starting more. There's a massive block of land in Henley Beach South, opposite Henley High that used to be HSA units, which got demolished and is now vacant with a temporary fence, it's been vacant for a few years now. It would be worth a lot of m...

I found this image http://sar.4mg.com/brighton/sth_brighton.JPG My best guess is the station was just south of Shoreham Road.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Where was South Brighton Station? - It's on the 1974 map and was demolished when the new Brighton Station was built in 1976. Brighton Station was moved 200m south. Seacliff station is only 1km from Brighton, maybe 1.5km max before the rebuilds in 1976. South Brighton would have been very close to Se...

It's also going to be one lane to save money! And "Accidentally" built too low for large trucks lol. Then Knolls mate just happens to build smaller trucks that fit, oh and it will be a truck O'Bahn tunnel for safety reasons!. These trucks will also be allowed on the current O'Bahn, $7 toll each way!

Why are people against this? It appears it will be behind the "heritage buildings" keeping the street scape the same. It looks decent, theres a very plain 8(ish) story apartment building next door, so is the argument about this being too tall? too short? It's location is great, right on the parkland...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Looks like the "Noarlunga Freeway" would have followed Adams Road at Trott Park and Morphett Road at Seacombe and then followed the alignment in the image onto the Tonsley line. Also is there a reason why Morphett, Adams and Panalatinga Roads seem to follow the same alignment but don't join up?

An article a month ago https://www.fiveaa.com.au/david-and-will-2/real-reason-an-iconic-adelaide-target-store-is-closing-has-been-revealed/ . The centre will get a $10M. So it will be a Drakes a Woolies and Dan Murphys. The BWS will close and Woolies transfer the licence to Dan Murphys, they did the...

The Mawson Lakes station carpark land would look good with some 6ish story apartment buildings overlooking a green square (theres some examples at Bowden). But whats going too happen to the carpark? Thats a lot of cars https://www.google.com/maps/@-34.8051667,138.6129698,3a,75y,64.09h,97.86t/data=!3...

Something I think should be done once the Flinders Line opens, create two lines. Flinders Line would be all stops from Adelaide Railway Station and Seaford would be Adelaide Showground (make this the interchange for the Belair line), Woodlands Park and the Seaford line would start here. Flinders Lin...

Let's say there's a busway instead of the train lines, let's just look at the Gawler line electrified and passenger numbers. A 4000 class train can hold 540 people, but in reality it's more likely going to have closer to 350. Theres 8 trains an hour in peak direction, a bus would hold about 50 peopl...

Fulham Gardens Target is not closing. Fulham Gardens is not on the list close or become a Kmart. In SA there's 5 stores closing (or already closed) Clare, Naracoorte, Millicent, Pasadena and Port Lincoln and 4 converting to Kmart Berri, Murray Bridge, Port Augusta and Victor Harbor. Pasadena is the ...

How frequent is the Flinders line going to run? I would think every 15min in peak if they want Uni students / medical workers to use it and the people from the 12 x G2X buses an hour. The single section of track is only 2.5km, it starts just north of Mitchell Park Station. Looking at old timetables ...

They really should make a bus stop at the station, a one way road (loop) could easily be built. Enter Flinders Drive, left onto the service road, left at the weird roundabout, left after the station and left back onto Main South Road. If the grade is too steep you could make a turn around area next ...

[ONH] Re: Parafield Airport | Developments & News
Parafield Airport already is too valuable to be an airport. There's like 4 or 5 square kilometres of land that can be developed into housing. The land is worth well over a billion dollars.
