[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million
Who is going to lease 40,000 square m of A grade office space in Adelaide? Surely the State Government would not be so stupid as to finance this with a lease after the state bank disaster in the 1990s. That leaves Telstra or maybe a Bank. It is a big ask to get this to financial viability.

The biggest issue for the air space to Adelaide Airport is going to be operations on the heliport of the New RAH. The helicopters will be flying through the Airports main commercial flight path to land, when they travel from the North. A crane on this site for 12 months will be the least of the prob...

I just hope it does not get Telstra taking over to much more. They have branded the riverbank plaza as Telstra Plaza and put up signs all around the stadium

[COM] Re: Adelaide Convention Centre - Stage 3 | $350m
Somewhere during the redevelopment of the Convention Centre the most left of 3 lanes on the Morphett Street Bridge, heading south has been lost. I thought it was just temporary, during the construction of the Western Section, but it now appears to be permanent. This is resulting in traffic banking u...

I cannot recall a DAC proposal having a Refuse recommendation before. There must be significant concerns about the proposal. It looks like something from the Gold Coast in the 1980s. The Architect who is doing such a great job of restoring the Stag Hotel at present, is not going to be happy.

Surely it is only a matter of time now before those salt pans are redeveloped into something else. All the engineering for this connector is going to isolate them from the sea. it would be a site with some environmental and civil engineering problems but would still be of value, so close to a city a...

This site is presently a tennis court which is used for basketball mainly by overseas students. It is a fairly high visibility site next to Wakefield Rd and across from the main Victoria park site which is also well used. As a local resident I have no problem with it going ahead. It may be better if...

[COM] Re: SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion | $300m
Surely it is time to scrap the legislation protecting the casino monopoly and put a tender out for a second casino to a competitor. This operator seems unable to develop the business or provide a contemporary facility.

20150803_074838.jpg Adelaide City Council spent millions refurbishing the Heritage Grand Stand on Victoria Park to its former glory. Now they are building two structures which could be described as Neo Brutalism Bus Shelter style in front. I do not get it. They did the same thing a year ago and the...

The great use of natural light is a feature of this new development. The block itself is not very large so this is ...

They will have to change the Tour Down Under opening event route though. This would reduce the connection Rundle Street and the East End has with it. Maybe they could take the bikes through the bus tunnel like the Monaco Grand Prix.
