[COM] Re: #U/C: Spark 88 Apartments - 15lvl 46.7m

Yeah, it almost looks like an industrial compound... just needs some thick black smoke being emitted from a smoke stack or two.

Wow... that last picture makes me wish it was (at least) twice as tall! Then it would really stand out, especially from even greater distances. Great pictures from everyone, though. Can't wait to see the glass stretching all the way to the top.

I'm pretty sure the first one is located in Toyko.

ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE.
It's supposed to be shorter (by roughly 6 metres), but renders make it looks pretty much the same height... maybe even slightly taller. I guess only time (ie. completion) will tell how it really compares!

Re: Proposal to Lift CBD Height Restrictions Defeated

How about having them for tall buildings' sake and all the other stuff you said? Like Maximus I would also be dissapointed if our friend Mr Westpac Tower wasn't superseded during this construction boom... and for a city of over one million people, it's somewhat surprising it hasn't already ha...

Hmmm, I was expecting a poll.

But... strike me down for 22.

EDS building?

Anyway, yesterday I was at the Glendi and you could see the many cranes in the CBD (about 6-7), including the Precinct one with the green lighting at night time.

The hell? Why would the height be reduced? It's already being built right beside a building of the same height, for crying out loud. Something doesn't compute here.

Damn it NIMBYs, why must you exist?!

*raises fist and doesn't stop shaking*

Seriously though, it does seem increasingly likely that another several decades will pass with little to no action on this site whatsoever.

You mean his real name isn't Crawf, or some variation thereof?

My world is turned upside-down!

But really, happy 20th birthday. It's all downhill from here... I mean, keep on fighting the good fight, and all the best. Or something. Woohoo.

I didn't think it could be quite as bad as you guys were saying, then I checked out the City Central website... wow, what a wasted opportunity. The obsession these developers have with "pods", I'll never understand. There's still hope for Tower 4 or 7 to be bigger/better, right?

[APP] Re: #Proposed: 199-200 North Terrace 18 Levels Apartments

So the building will be roughly the same height as 223 North Terrace? Considering it would consist of 18 levels, which is nothing to sneeze at, for some reason I assumed it would be reasonably taller. Regarding the design, well it might look pretty plain from the elevation diagram, but it could be r...

What the hell is that supposed to be? Well, we can only hope this proposal is overlooked/ignored (especially since the Makris Group CEO didn't even want to comment on it), and they get a move-along with bringing the previous design into fruition...

[COM] Re: #U/C: Lot 8 Coglin Place - 43m, 13 lvls

Starting to look fairly large already... and this one seemingly still has seven floors remaining! Considering it's location, even 13 levels is going to make a good impact, along with the Thomson Playford building, which is almost like a slightly shorter twin being so close.
