[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade
At some stage the Western Stand should rebuilt to a 3 tier stand same as Eastern Stand and when the NIMBY group has gotten too old to protest any longer maybe we can build a Northern Stand that matches the Southern Stand - this is probably the best we can achieve.

Re: New City Arena
Labor have pledged to scrap this and redirect funding to health care. Got my vote on this policy alone. Priorities. Wouldn't be surprised if they do tge Memorial Drive upgrade instead. We can have better health care and a new arena without spending 3 quarters of a billion on an arena alone. How qui...

[U/C] Re: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | Mixed Use
I'm not sure how I feel about this. Development at the site is good but the scale is inappropriate. Apart from the North Adelaide village across the road once these towers are built there is no opportunity to build anything even approaching their height in the vicinity. Like it or not North Adelaid...

[U/C] Re: Former LeCornu Redevelopment | Mixed Use
This will be worth the wait. Excpetionally high quality proposal that I am hopefull will really raise the bar for multi-storey residential projects in Adelaide. Once everything is signed it should progress relatively quickly as well. Not if the small group of North Adelaide NIMBY's have their say. ...

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade
So I guess this means no basketball or netball in the city for a while, which is a real shame imo. Wonder if the design of this project allows for future expansion, hopefully. This is just a hack job to say they are doing something. Also looks like they are tearing down the north stand and rebuildi...

How come all these new buildings including Sofitel and Wingfold are oriented with bigger sides being those east / west facing. I understand it’s probably the land/plots but there seems to be a clear issues with energy efficiency.

[COM] Re: 104-106 Currie Street | 117m | 33lvl | Sofitel Hotel
Now that all the levels have been built, it doesn't look 117m tall at all. Its more closer to about 100-105m? The roofline of Westpac is 123m (antennae are 132m) and this certainly doesn't remotely appear to match the roofline of Westpac. Was there a variation to DA? The roof feature is still to co...

[COM] Re: Festival Plaza Redevelopment | $800 million
It would be nice to see a more panoramic view that shows the tower, perhaps from the riverbank footbridge, to see how it'll look against its surrounds. The full height shot that Walker doesn't really compare the tower to anything. Download and have a look at page 30/31 of the following which was po...

These types of developments are probably quite wise. It all appears a bit speculative at this moment given what is going on. But now is the time to build. Builders will be looking for working so should be good for developers. Whilst post COVID-19 i suspect people after being boxed up for a while wil...

Quite like this. Seems unlikely now though to happen for a while. Now would be ideal time to build - construction companies would be likely be fighting for work. By the time this one gets planned, approved, demolition, build & fitout we are talking about quite a while - COVID hopefully would be...
