Yes the electoral comission is run independant of governments/ parties, but is staffed by public servants. Pubic servants are employed by governments and their conditions are negotiated with unions. No wonder people demolish things in the middle of the night without approval. Its rubbish listings etc like this that encourages it. As far as im aware (correct me if im wrong) this has been approved for demolition and the hotel approved for construction (I am aware that this is the adjoining site)...

Oh yeah, and you aren't necessarily locked into getting the Nestle stuff, since there are pods that can be used in the machine that aren't Nesle. I'm not going to speculate on quality though...
