Those remaining shop fronts are going to be demolished? I would say so, yeah. I'm pretty sure the new development takes up the whole block. This is the Jetty Road frontage https://i.imgur.com/BmeGbKn.jpg So maybe the existing buildings are staying and are just having the facades re-clad?

Seems a bit odd to have the piling rig on site doing its thing when the demo hasn't been finished. I'm sure there's a reason, just seems a bit strangeNorman wrote: ↑Mon Oct 10, 2022 2:12 pmI would say so, yeah. Re: AFL Magic Round in Adelaide
I wonder how the turf would go with potentially 6 games over a weekend. I think it would be more or less fine if the weather was dry. A wet weekend could mean it would be utterly trashed by the end of it all

Re: AFL Magic Round in Adelaide
Surely Adelaide Oval would be used for night games Thursday-Saturday, and then a afternoon game on the Sunday at a minimum? Maybe an afternoon game on the Saturday too? Potentially that's five games done.
But honestly, what's the likelihood that it would be held in Adelaide?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Sorry, I should clarify.. I spent a week recently in Western Victoria where people are up in arms, and it’s daily in the media Re. 1. Ambulance and hospital response times, and 2. The atrocious state of regional roads, which are diabolical over there. The opposition is largely gone missing on these...

I'm not sure I understood what you mean - I assume you didn't mean a wide trench is more attractive than the surface above a bored tunnel. To say it has been a 50-year saga, you are comparing it to the early 70s when the MATS plan was scrapped? South Road only went as far north as Grand Junction Ro...

Any idea what the brick structures are in the foreground of the 2nd photo?
I know there were quite extensive tunnels on the site, is this the remains of them?

Slight problem would be access to the multi level carparks. It wouldn't be an insurmountable problem if you were determined to find a solution, but would probably be enough to deter the council/state government.

There have been issues with some of the subcontractors on this site. Insolvency issues... Could be a reason for the slow pace of things. No one was on site at all today. Something is definitely wrong. Probably the rain! The weather has played havoc with lots of sites in the past week or so. Delays ...

The Cadbury building just north of the Torrens appears to be in the early stages of being knocked down.

Some of the play/street furniture and sculptures are nice, but why is the shared path greenway along the train line needlessly windy? For bike commuters it's an annoying hassle. It's why so many avoid the Westside Bikeway. Probably to maximise the number of existing trees that can be retained. I im...

Drive through of the Port Wakefield Duplication and Overpass, and the Wakefield to Lochiel Duplication.
Port Wakefield is very close to being finished, the road to Lochiel is in the early stages and would be 12+ months off of completion.
