[U/C] Re: Central Market

I love the facade and matching it to the existing red brick frontage. They need to try and keep some of the internal character the same at the central markets, as they risk making the new area outshine the new and creating potential alienation between the two sections. I would have thought they coul...

Re: News & Discussion: Trams

Is it really necessary to ban 6 right hand turns to allow for 'disability access and replace the tracks in the southern half of the street'?

How are they able to be open from midnight? is this currently allowed under retailer law?

Any news on Kaufland taking the Masters Noarlunga site?

1957. It was also previously known as the Beacon Building, due to the weather beacon that used to be on the top of it, and I believe it has the distinction of being Australia's first fully air-conditioned "skyscraper" (it was as tall as buildings were allowed to be in Adelaide in 1955, wh...

The short building on the left hand side (formerly known as the MLC building) was built in 1959 and was one of the first buildings from the Modern Movement. Not bad for a 60 year old building. 1957. It was also previously known as the Beacon Building, due to the weather beacon that used to be on th...

[COM] Re: Victoria Square Upgrade - $24m

Very glad the original Masterplan wasnt completed or followed, the sourthern portion of the vic square redesign was a busy mess and the road realignment is too expensive and unnecessary. Just mirror some of the northern square to the southern part, put in some more shaded areas in line with the desi...

[U/C] Re: North-South Motorway

A city entry and exit, and an airport road enter and exit, is a must, as is an eventual connection point to Princes Highway (I still like the MATS plans idea of having the Princes highway link up to the motorway via the foothills).

Re: News & Discussion: Other Metropolitan Developments

Anyone have any idea what is happening with the former Masters site at Colonnades Noarlunga? Kaufland maybe? Costco should go here, but I've been told they like to make their own custom buildings... Also, the new building being constructed next to the Youth Centre and Dominos at Junk Food corner Rey...

They are back to work on the Darlington site and within a few months south Bound traffic will be using the lower sections of the road upgrade. https://www.infrastructure.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0011/519995/80_Dec_2018_newsletter_v4_web.pdf Construction should finish at the end of the year....

Hi, I've just come out of retirement to apologise to HeapsGood. He was right. Thank you, I now feel redeemed of the extreme grievances I hold against the Dyson Airblade. The good news is that places are phasing out the shit Airblades for common sense solutions. Ie, the Adelaide Airport and shopping...

Not overly enthused at this plan. Looks kinda lame and uninspiring. Maybe if it was built on the western side and incorporated a new tennis centre that would be somewhat more exciting.
