I would really hope a Drakes or Foodland move into this development as the main supermarket.

Walking past today, looks like people have already moved into this one. Seems like a high quality little high rise.

It certainly is a contender... although I wouldn't be surprised if the Allianz / MTAA building is the largest. The footprint is bigger than this one. I'm pretty sure the ATO building on Franklin Street was the current largest by lettable floor space, although that might've been surpassed by the new...

Re: SA Economy
Those figures from the ABS make for pretty dire reading, embarassing that we are even behind Hobart. I would've never expected that in a million years. It wouldn't seem anywhere near as bad if the populations of our regional centres had grown significantly in that time, in fact I'd even say it would...

It's not the record, but close. Sydney's WestConnex is Australia’s largest road infrastructure project linking Western and South Western Sydney with the city, airport and port in a 33km continuous motorway, with an estimated project cost of $16.8 billion. Thanks for the info ralmin, good stuff. Now...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
I can't imagine there is any way that the Federal Government didn't already agree to it. A $15 Billion dollar project though, it's just such a ridiculous number that it's hard to comprehend. Would that make it the largest road infrastructure project by dollar value in Australia's history? If so, th...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
This revised plan is still not a given, since the funding is to be split 50/50 between the State and Federal Govts. So that means the Feds are going to have to stump up an extra $2.5 billion to what's already been allocated. Not really chump change. I would like to think this has already been agreed...

[U/C] Re: M2 North-South Motorway
It's pretty disappointing that up until earlier this year, this thread was the most active on the whole forum for a number of years.... and for good reason. This is the most important, not to mention most expensive piece of infrastructure in S.A's history. It's a shame it's been politicized and all ...

If you're talking about this one and the Central Market development, then they're actually on different blocks.VinyTapestry849 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 02, 2022 1:55 pmI find it funny, we're going to have Victoria Tower, and then Victoria Square tower all on the same block.
Fk me, we really need height there. Hope it tops out asap

[U/C] Re: 52-66 King William Street | 65m | 15 Levels | Southern Cross Arcade
Begs the question, will naming rights go to NAB or Telstra? In a way, this is a further blow to CBD vacancy rates, with two larger (by square metre) high-rise buildings now to lose their anchor tenant to this building, not to mention a loss of local jobs more likely. How might that work anyways? I ...

Yep, agree with the sentiment here. Arcade vacated 6 months ago and wasted no time in gutting the shops. Pretty poor really, I imagined back then demolition would already be completed by now.
