[VIS] Re: North Terrace/Morphett Street | Trinity City | ~110m | 28 Levels | Office

I think this one looks pretty nice, especially form that render looking from the north. If this one does get off the ground, then there's goes my argument for Adelaide needing to get our first true commercial skyscraper off the ground. Not that this is a skyscraper of course, but with 61,000sqm of l...

Re: International performers Bypassing adelaide

The Gorillaz played here to a packed Ent. Centre a couple months ago, as a side show for Illuminate Adelaide. I can assure you the ticket prices weren't cheap and Adelaide still turned out in force. Post Malone played the Ent. Centre a couple years back. I'd be interested to know how full it was for...

I would really like to write something glowing for this one, but I think we've had the luxury of being a bit more critical of developments in this forum for the past 5 years. If this was 10 years go then we would've all been saying "you're on drugs if you think this is gonna happen" or the...

There's been a site cleared and a piling rig working today on Coglin Street near the markets. Anyone know what's going on there?

[COM] Re: Memorial Drive upgrade

This looks okay, but beyond tennis what other semi-regular events is it actually likely to attract? I wonder if there is any scope to expand it at a reasonable cost - maybe by raising the roof higher (it looks pretty low), better enclosing the arena and adding a few thousand more seats to get it up...

Re: Australian Open Tennis in Adelaide

Okay, lets say we spend $1 billion getting Memorial Drive up to scratch (not that we even have the space)... that is two show courts with a roof plus half a dozen side courts. Do the math and even a 20 year deal with Adelaide is still a long stretch.

Imagine this possible schmozzle.... Kouts cans the South Road tunnels, then the Crows current plans for Thebarton are unworkable.

Nothing would surprise me with this current bunch of amateurs.

[SWP] Re: Lot 14 (Old RAH Site)

The WA government have announced, as part of a previous election pitch, their own Aboriginal cultural centre with the aim for a world standard facility. So far the WA state and federal government have jointly contributed $100m in ‘seed’ funding, which suggests the overall construction budget (and s...

Bit of a waste opportunity but better than weeds growing.
Yeah I tend to agree, being on Pirie Street. But it's important developers have the confidence to build new office space in the CBD. It's only a low rise but it has a fairly large amount of actual lettable space.

Thanks for the photos.

The glazing looks promising so maybe this could end up looking at least half decent given it's average design.

I'm a bit late, but here's the CommSec State of the States for June quarter 2022. S.A ranked sixth which I find a bit unfair given we topped the rankings for two of the categories..... https://www.commsec.com.au/content/dam/EN/Campaigns_Native/stateofstates/July2022/CommSec_State_of_the_States_July2...

Not going to try to change some minds here. And by some, I mean one. If you don't like architecture, nobody dragged you to an architecture forum...

Although this isn't really an architecture forum, it's a development forum mostly.
