Re: Krispy Kreme opens on Port Road
Id like to see them bring Starbucks back, not because I like it (their coffee tastes like shit) but because my wife loves it. I know Peregrine would never embark on this journey as they already have their own coffee brand, but I think Adelaide is ready to sell out again for another global consumer's...

[COM] Re: U/C: Southern Expressway Duplication | $445m | 22km
Ok technically there are more than three but if we're counting roads that originate and terminate with a considerable length in between, its three. I dont count the north south motorway. 3kms is a joke. maybe by 2100 we'll have upwards of 10 when they do the ring-route. at this stage i doubt south r...

Drove it northbound yesterday afternoon (not by plan, just happened to be at Sellicks for lunch). Was pleasantly surprised to see 100 km/h for most of the way. Also drove it southbound to work this morning. Takes me 7 minutes less to get to work from Torrensville to Christies Beach as opposed to tak...

did you draw that? The scoreboard is a little more westerly IRL which would make that a difficult proposition.

Shuz, I think the oval needs to be enjoyed in its current form for a little while before that idea is entertained. Even so, the demand for 67,000 seats wont be there for quite a while. Although I think its realistic to expect that eventually a northern upgrade will be carried out, perhaps to cater f...

Cannot believe (or maybe I can) the amount of complaining in here about the naming of a bit of paving outside of a stadium. The signage is so small that most people either won't even think to look at it or realise that its actually associated with the ground upon which they're standing. Get over it ...

Re: Winter Wonderland at Glenelg
^^ Mt thebarton just needs some proper management and marketing to get it back up and running well. For some reason they closed down the slope years ago and I dont remember the last time i saw any form of advertising from them. I think it would be cool if they did some sort of ice bar or something a...

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
why wouldn't they just make all of the traffic lanes 3.5m? I can see why the limit would be 80 rather than 90 (because its a relatively short stretch).

are they going to re-install the Origin signage on the top? If not, the white bit that engulfs the NE corner of the building makes it looks unfinished and tacky.

[U/C] Re: News & Discussion: South Road / North-South Corridor
looks great. the foresight to include on/off ramps out of the trenches for the future is very good, as well as the wide median. I think i prefer the trench down the centre of the road as opposed to the original plan but that hawker/hurtle street intersection is ridiculous. obviously the $$ were not ...

so this will be 2m taller (IIRC) than the tip of the skewer atop Q1, thus maintaining the aus tallest title (if it gets built)?

announced today that CA has stripped AO of a fixture on Aus Day this year. SCG now gets their typical NYD test and also the Aus day one dayer.
