Re: ## General Public Transport thread
My patience with the post-9am freeloaders is wearing thin. Are they deliberately late and stupid to annoy me?

Early November for Kmart opening, I believe. They don't get access until sometime late September.

Re: New Retail in the CBD
How's a cinema inefficient? Often such large buildings with little use beyond their direct function - ie, nothing above or below making better use of the space, and some days there's hardly anyone inside the space, either. And in this day and age, paying money to see a movie once in a room in which...

Re: Public transport smartcard system
Please excuse me whilst I go all Aidan for the next few minutes. - Singletrips will still use the old magnetic-stripe tickets (so, um, what's the point of introducing a new ticketing system?) 1) much quicker boarding times for 95%+ of passengers with multitrips (freeloading interpeak oldies with gre...

I must be the only person in the world who thinks that cinema complexes are fearsomely boring, outdated, inefficient places, and for the life of me I don't understand them.

List of Things I Didn't Know:
- According to today's conductor, his ticket-selling role will be removed in six months
- Singletrips will still use the old magnetic-stripe tickets (so, um, what's the point of introducing a new ticketing system?)
- That's all I can remember at the moment

I wouldn't even have a clue what's on the top floor of Myer. Toys and travel. That would explain why I don't know what's up there. We probably shouldn't be all that surprised, given Myer's somewhat dubious financial position at the moment; that which DJs shares. The Myer Centre would be a fabulous ...

[COM] Re: General Rundle Mall Development & Progress Thread
The masterplan itself is still a good one. I had a quick browse through the website to remind myself of its aims, and I do like all-encompassing plans that replace lights, poles, seats, planter boxes, pavers etc. all at the same time for consistency and cohesiveness. The revitalisation of upstairs a...

From realestate.com: From this angle CCT1 and CCT8 appear to merge into a single building: http://i1.au.reastatic.net/800x600/bc1d278c15a1f089d0faebcfdf28401429f2350a4a535773234f38cd77eb95fb/image9.jpg And from VIctoria Square CC8 looks like an extension of MLC. My God, GHD is objectionable. Green ...
