Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Looks like the transition of routes between contractors is already taking place. I noticed a Torrens Transit bus was operating a 224X this evening. I believe that this is due to the Gawler Rail line train substitute buses being in place, that the bus fleet (all Government owned anyhow) has had some...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
Out of idle curiosity, has the option of running suburban trains out as far as Virginia or Two Wells been considered? There's a lot of development there. Given the possibility of having a couple of stations only but well connected to buses in the area, that could be a very fast service, even with d...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Some changes to Bus services;- J1X services will be suspended after tonight. After Midnight services will be discontinued immediately 98/99 services will be discontinued after tomorrow. These changes are as a result of the Corona virus and subsequent drop in patronage and at this stage are indefini...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
That does make sense that with Skybus getting the AAL airside/car park shuttle contract, they may start Airport - CBD runs.
With the J1X not proposed to continue with the New AdelaideMetro Network changes, that does provide scope for a new express bus to run to the CBD.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Another question, with the G20/21/22 gone, will the N21 still exist? Night moves is the only public transport to the south east that doesn't involve selling a kidney to pay for a taxi or an uber. I'm already annoyed that it doesn't exist on the more useful to me Friday nights, deleting it from Satu...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Also interesting seeing where the gaps are emerging with this New Network. Definitely noticable around the Cavan area where the 238 and 225 used to go. Strange Ross Smith Bvd at Oakden no longer has a bus. Also around North East Rd with the former 507 route and McIntyre Rd on the 545 route. Also the...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
I think the 749 is just a short working of the 750 I'd say the 745 continues on its normal route but will then cut off into Seaford Rd to Seaford Shops and Railway Station then head to Seaford Rise down Grand Bvd and return the way it came. The 746 will follow the existing 747 route to Seaford Railw...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Ginzahikari you're map is looking excellent - just a few comments re the Outer North area - - 900 - the Parliamentary Report definitely says it is going Salisbury - Virginia - Mawson Lakes - I think that it will be a semi-circle route like it is now. My thoughts are that it will run from Salisbury v...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Re Route 59 - Port Adelaide > Arndale > Regency Park - I don't think it will go down Torrens Rd at all as Route 17 is a Go Zone and this would be over servicing this section of road - maybe down Port Rd, Woodville Rd to Arndale given the gaps on these roads? I don't think the current route on Newcas...

Also I presume the actual AdelaideMetro consultation will be out in the not too distant future given consultation starts in April - maybe next week?

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Also Route 11 could be the one that fills the gap on the map on The Parade up St Bernards Rd. I don't think that there will be a 273 route bus replacement on North East Rd as the new route 5 will be a Go Zone in its own right.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Reading that last post.....why not make the 19 a 8 minute daytime frequency and then make the 20 run from Marion to Old Reynella only. Why is the point of having 2 different bus routes? I think the 19 and 20 are one combined Go Zone - they will each run every 30 minutes on weekdays which leads to a...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Buses
Another hook turn is coming out the northern end of Tea Tree Plaza interchange there is a bus lane at the junction of Northern Roadway/North East Rd/Golden Grove Rd thst allows the 542 and 557 bus routes to turn right from the far left lane. Interestingly the LinkSA bus route which goes the same way...
