Re: U/C: Electrification & Upgrade of the Adelaide Rail Netw

Rail shuttle does sound like a train - but its a bus since it's leaving from a bus stop, it would be nice if they used the word bus to describe this service. Also if it was a rail service wouldn't it also stop at Seaford Meadows. https://www.adelaidemetro.com.au/Announcements/Service-updates/New-exp...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport

Also with the the monthly pass there is no concession or student amount listed, the new Sunday/public holiday fares have a concession and student fare listed.

[COM] Re: U/C: Britannia Roundabout

I rarely have the need to turn south onto Tapleys Hill rd from Sir Donald, I do go through there many times a day and I stay in the right lane until after the merging is over due to it being chaos at times, the worse driving I saw a woman in a commodore pull straight across from the slip lane right ...

[COM] Re: PRO: Britannia Roundabout

Tapleys Hill and Sir Donald /Burbridge roads intersection has no zip merging it has a slip lane Rev Aidan: That intersection does have traffic lights, so if the through traffic doesn't let the turning traffic in, it's only delayed by a minute or so. There are no signs to tell drivers to merge, and t...

Re: Sam's Warehouse Modbury Store (new aldi store?)

Yeah it's a huge store, Aldi stores are about 850 sqm - the old Dick Smith (http://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-retail-sa-modbury-5817415) is a better choice for an Aldi - it's only 440 sqm (ground floor) but could be totally redeveloped, or (http://www.realcommercial.com.au/property-showrooms...

Re: News & Discussion: Public Transport

I wonder if there is going to be any concession and student discounts as well. There's no information on the Adelaide metro site yet. Would the concession/student fares be half the full fare? Could be like the half-arsed attempt at extra after midnight services - which the metro site just says an ex...

[COM] Re: PRO: Britannia Roundabout

Eggs aren't round, roundabouts should be round - the fact that Britannia has poor signage and poor visibility is due to it's poor design. The actual roundabout isn't difficult to use if you're familiar with, the fact people have difficulty using it is down to it's poor design. People in Adelaide are...

[COM] Re: PRO: Britannia Roundabout

Fullarton Road (North and South)and Kensington Roads meet at one point and Wakefield Road and Dequeteville Tce meet at a different point. The original round about was stretched into and egg shape to try to overcome this problem, but did not really work. The Britannia round about corner has been in ...

[COM] Re: PRO: Britannia Roundabout

The "original" roundabout is confusing - the signage is bad also heading east out of the city Fullarton Rd (north) is hard to see when your at the roundabout it blurs into Kensington Rd. This roundabout is annoying - eg heading north from Fullarton Rd (south) onto Fullarton Rd (north) you ...

Vehemently against this. The urban sprawl has got to stop immediately. I am learning so much in my urban planning course and one thing that I am picking up on is just how environmentally , socially, and even economically devastating urban sprawl is to communities, biodiversity, agricultural land, s...
