[U/C] Re: Festival Plaza Incl. 115m Tower | $800 million
Is the proposed building running along the back of the plaza (with restaurants etc) still happening, or has this been scrapped? Is there any reason to believe it has been scrapped? There have been some recent media releases that have mentioned the three-storey retail complex so I would assume it is...

Glad to see the state government supporting this kind of density for the inner suburbs.

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Metro Trains
I'm not great with budget papers but it looks like the whole $51M is accounted for in the 22-23 and 23-24 estimates and completion is still expected by June 2024. Unless I'm missing something? Yes, works will start in the upcoming financial year and will probably be finished around December next ye...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
Not likely to ever see the A380 on regular services in and out of Adelaide given that a lot of airlines have preference in ordering twin engine A350s and B787 Dreamliners for direct longer flights over the A380s. Even Emirates, the biggest supporter of the A380s is turning away from this model. Yea...

Re: News & Discussion: Adelaide Airport & Airlines
I remember years ago, probably around 2018, I read an article stating that Emirates was considering bringing their A380 offering to Adelaide. Shame thats not happening anymore.

You guys know paywall blockers are a thing, right? The ones I had been using stopped working on News Corp a month or so ago. I haven't found a working alternative yet. This one works for me (the chrome version) https://gitlab.com/magnolia1234/bypass-paywalls-chrome-clean/-/blob/master/README.md

[U/C] Re: 88 O'Connell Street | 63m | 13, 13 and 15 Levels | Mixed Use
These are both worthwhile projects, and in the case of 88 O'Connell I understand the imperative to make back money, but it's a bit sad that neither increase the supply of affordable housing. About a decade ago Council built Ergo Apartments -- this is the sort of project I want my local government t...

Quite a few other projects in the city that they should have mentioned as well, truly exciting times for Adelaide. That are also joint ventures with the Adelaide City Council? Or just developments that are happing in the commercial space? Because this article is very much about just the council par...

Re: News & Discussion: General CBD Development
Population growth, another city high school, more affordable housing and an overhaul of public transport would be examined as part of a comprehensive new plan for the Adelaide CBD. Lord Mayor Sandy Verschoor and Adelaide City Council chief executive Clare Mockler want to develop the high-level plan...
