Re: News: Adelaide City Council
- Council signed off on a design concept for the Regeneration of Victoria Square last December. This is the plan that would form the basis of the public consultation. Overseas, the move is towards public engagement that begins with the actual design process. The public consultation method used for ...

Re: Big business vs small business in your area
The short answer is, not anymore. For a time there was a bit of upheaval whilst the market sorted out the good stuff from the chaff, but now that the dust has settled, a bit of stability has returned. The quality of the remaining small businesses is definitely better than it used to be, and there's...

A city apartment complex's location is an environmental feature in itself. I think you're on to something Will. Will wrote:
Why doesn't the ACC build an apartment complex with 'affordability' being the overwhelming objective? Get rid of all these environmental features and see the price come down.

Hmm, it seems that they haven't noticed that you put the story in the Beer Garden rather than in Visions & Suggestions or the like, Queenie. They might actually think that we believe this implausible story told by some random stranger at the Fringe. Lol, well 95 percent of me is wise to the imp...

Re: Beer Garden
I've been meaning to share a story from the Fringe opening parade. George and I were standing next to an American man, and we got to chatting. He told us that he knows the CEO (his words) of something or other at Disneyland (or was it Disney World?). He went on to say that D-World/Land wants to open...

Re: Beer Garden
I can't forget that newspaper article that came out back when SA Water was approved. The Lord Mayor said "For the future of the city it's so important to activate the centre and have it thronging with people". There is a definite discrepancy between the way this was sold to the people of A...

Welcome home, Queen Anne! Appreciate your thoughts. And, yes - there is so much to be proud of in our fair city! Adelaide is rated in the top ten of the world's most liveable cities. (Feb 2010) The Economist - annual survey http://bit.ly/akY5Gx Will be interested to hear more of your views on chang...

Re: Beer Garden
Well, I was pretty much offline during our moving process and now we have a horrible internet connection that George and I have to share (and we all know how much he talks :P ) Anyway, I just wanted to say it's good to be home! There are so many thoughts and feelings in my head about the big adventu...

Oh, borrow George's ear trunpet then ... CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
Actually, this is George. Her Maj had some problems posting earlier today - each time she tried to post something, it gave her an error and logged her out. Just trying again from each of the computers

Testing - don't mind me
Had a little trouble earlier today, just seeing if it's working for me now.

Realistically speaking, who would want to be the trend-setter on West Tce? It's ten thousand lanes wide, the mix of tenants is already motoring-oriented, it overlooks a cemetery and dreadful people living in bushes, it won't ever have pretty upgrades like North Tce, and it's too far from the centre...

Thank Wayno :) It will good to read the site from the "neighbourhood". I might understand what's going on better! It's going to be so interesting to see Adelaide again after a three year absence. I'm feeling excited about it, and a little nervous too, if I'm honest. We fly out next wednesd...

Re: Adelaide Zoo : Funi and Wang Wang
I checked it out yesterday. The panda's dont move that much so its not that exciting IMO... This is the reaction I expect from most of the public. There'll be a load of disappointed kids after all the pandemonium that the zoo's marketeers have raised. They sound like the grizzly bears at the ...
