[COM] Re: #PRO: New Royal Adelaide Hospital | $1.7b
As much as I am opposed to the new site I tried to think of some positives. 1. Once or during development it should spur the ACC development of the Torrens area behind it. 2. Thinking about City Peak Hour Traffic the Ambulances can make use of the 'no car zones' on the Tram Tracks . 3. Flinders is i...

Mount Lofty Lookout
If you look at each Capital City they have a tall landmark ( within 17km of cbd for sake of argument ) that allows you to see all the city and surrounding areas with an uninterrupted view. Our tall landmark is Mount Lofty and you cannot see all the surrounding areas because it is tree bound. From a ...

Re: Victoria Square Visions
"an inspirational public place that fosters a dynamic and vibrant city lifestyle" I was going to have a go at designing this myself,, but looking at monotonehell's design on the first page is hard for me to go past, for its powerful simplicity. I would add a nightime sense of inspiration w...

Thought I would bump this Vision. Here is a cut and paste job of the concept using Google Earth maps. http://i451.photobucket.com/albums/qq236/CamPhotoSA/draft2a.jpg http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=en&q=san%20antonio%20riverwalk%20photos&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi I think th...

[U/C] Re: #U/C : Flinders Medical Centre Redevelopment $153m
I recently spent 4 hours waiting in Flinders Emergency on a Thursday evening . Understaffed and with a cross section of society waiting with me I just wanted to get in and out. If our Pollies were exposed to this 'secondary trauma' our Emergency centres would be Palaces with a 5 minute wait.

Re: How do we lose the 'boring & dull' stereotype?
If you could take Adelaide at one extreme and a Theme Park at the other and morph the two together you might have part of the answer. Also, build Expressways into the City as that will get the heart pumping.

Its good to have both a public meeting place and elevated view , so I would pick the Northern part of 81 and the Southern part of 19 .

Re: #Article: City Tower 'Would Draw' Tourists
An observation tower/deck in the CBD would be ok, but what exactly is the view? the city itself can't be seen (just fugly roof tops), the beaches can't be seen, so you are really just looking at the hills and Suburbia. There's also the issue of flight paths restricting the height of the ob tower/pl...

Re: #Article: City Tower 'Would Draw' Tourists
WIth Mt Lofty people think just Adelaide ,, but it is the Picadilly Valley and Beyond which must be brought together with Adelaide in one brilliant Panorama, and only a proper elevated observation facility will allow this for everyone.
