A photo of the Main Road upgrade today. The entire western side of the road will be looking like this, with landscape on the side of the footpath. They still have some time to go until they've done the whole thing. They're about half way there.
PS: If you look closely you can see our Adelaide Metro city bus...

Construction of the Woolworths expansion is about to begin. The old Blockbuster building has been fenced off as a construction site.
The old courthouse will be knocked down to house the contractors offices, then once the upgrade is complete it'll be converted to a car park. All expected to be complete mid next year.

Indeed. I've heard no objection to the demolishing of the building, even nothing negative in the local paper. Something I doubt you'd ever see in the city

That looks more like an ETSA substation or Telstra exchange. Indeed, no great loss.

Old Blockbuster building is now completely demolished.
They're now demolishing the old Women's counseling centre to make way for more carparks, and some public toilets.

Nah, Ellen Centre is where Woolies is. I'm sure that'll get an upgrade along with the new Woolies upgrade.

The inside of the old Prests building is pretty much completed, ready for Radio Rentals to move in. On the outside, the bottom half of the building has been painted the ugly trademark RR colours... Funnily enough, Radio Rentals wanted to paint the whole building yellow and black, but the Mayor stepped in and said he only wanted the bottom half painted in those colours... So I'm not sure what the top will be painted. It's due to open on November 24.
