Hi!
I'm studying Architectural Design at school, and am exploring the possibility of converting the Adelaide G.P.O. into an arts centre and constructing a concert hall above. To start however, I need to work from the dimensions of the existing structure itself. Does anyone have the measurements of the building, or a computer model file I can have? It would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

The GPO is a government building and is managed by the building management department of the Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure.
I'd try there first.

They should be able to direct you to any archival drawings and photographs.
A local architect, Colin Schumacher, oversaw a major renovation of the Postal Hall of the GPO in 1986. There would have been extensive drawings for that job.
Colin Schumacher would be very old by now if he's still alive. Susan Collins at UNISA did a profile of him recently. You could try to contact her.
Before you talk to people, you might want to read up on the subject - there are a couple of pages on the building in 'Heritage of the City of Adelaide' published by ACC ISBN 0 909866 30 9
