I'm unsure if this is a real proposal but stumbled upon it. If it is real, I doubt it would be approved given the issues with the development across the road.

About 39 levels

Very cool design, but terrible location. Why not propose this somewhere else where there's more chance of being approved?

Where did you stumble across it?

My guess is it isn't a serious proposal but more a conceptual exercise of how much could be squeezed into that block.

Love the building, location entirely wrong.

It was on an architects Linked In page as a project they had worked on.

That's an incredible design.... It would look prettier somewhere like Kent Town next to a very very old mansion.

Linked In is one of those sites where people exaggerate and talk themselves up to the max though.

Yes I think any development there is unlikely as I am pretty sure the land is owned by the Crown/Govt. with a leasehold to Maras who then sub-leases it again to The Stag etc.

Why would the government own the land where the Stag is? That would be unusual if that was true.

Not entirely sure how accurate as its the Advertiser but this article from 2016 states Steve Maras as the owner.

Stick that on Pirie or Grenfell streets, and you've got a winner.

Looks way taller than 140m.

Why go to this much effort of designing a building, complete with floor plans and cross sections and whatnot if its not a serious proposal?

I agree, some of the floor heights look quite large. I would say it looks 150m - 160m

Darn. I hope this becomes real and put in one of the CBD streets like Flinders, Pirie or Grenfell.
