This massive project in my old home town of Stuttgart is starting to take shape. The project involves turning Central Station by 90 Degrees to transform it from a ground level dead-end station to an underground through-flowing station. Cost is about $AU8b, and includes new development areas around where the tracks and railway storage used to be. The project also includes a new regional stop for the airport (a la Frankfurt Airport).

Attached you can see the birds eye view of part of the new development area. Lots of high-rises will spring up there, a la Docklands.

Yeah Germany has approx 4-5 times the population of Australia and i think Stuttgart+Suburbs has about 4 million people XD so $8billion is just spare change to their government...Omicron wrote:Oh, for $8 billion to spend at will!
