Attention all smrat people

#1 Post by Laidback-Luke » Tue Jul 30, 2013 8:08 pm

Hi guys, I'm seventeen and currently studying year 12. I have to complete a research-project-like assessment (due soon, I'm a typical teenage boy with no organisational skills) and as I have a bit of an obsession with development of new buildings and stadia, especially here in Adelaide, I decided to revolve my research and writing around the Riverbank Precinct Redevelopment.

I put together a survey to find your views and comments about the redevelopment and hopefully get some facts and figures to put in my essay. It should take no longer than 10 minutes, I promise 8) you may even enjoy it, I dunno.

If you could also pass this link on to as many other people as you can that would be absolutely brilliant, and maybe even add any input, suggestions or sources below.

cheers guys, i owe you big time

So again, thank you to everyone who completed the survey. It really helped. :D

Now that I have a reasonable number of results, I thought I'd post the results for you lot to see.

First of all it was pretty clear that people thought a major redevelopment could be based around improving the culture of the area.
86% - Yes, 14% - No

For opinion on how likely people were to go to a redeveloped Adelaide Oval
77% - more likely, 10% - less likely, 13% - the same

For opinion on how likely people were to go to a redeveloped Adelaide Convention Centre
37% - more likely, 13% - less likely, 50% - the same

For opinion on how likely people were to go to a redeveloped Adelaide Casino
70% - more likely, 13% - less likely, 17% - the same

33% of people thought that they would rarely use the footbridge while 33% also said that they would use it fortnightly to monthly. 14% said once or twice a week and 20% thought that they would never use it. No-one thought they would use it more than three times a week.

Having more places to eat and drink would make 94% of people more likely to frequent an area while having more activities such as superscreens and arcade games would only attract 55% of you.

The two most anticipated developments were Adelaide Oval followed closely by the Adelaide Casino.

Again, thanks everyone
