Thinking about move to Adelaide

Hi,
I live now in Prague, freezing old continent and looking for warmer climate to settle.
I don't want some huge city and your Adelaide look like a good option, similar population size, quiet place to live.
Would you recommend me Adelaide as new home ?

Hey,
I've lived in adelaide all my life and if your looking for a small city then adelaide is perfect for you. It's very quite compared to Melbourne Sydney or brisbane. We have our wonderful festivals all year round and some great places to discover.
Our riverbank district is beautiful with the new adelaide oval and convention centre and the amazing SAMHRI building. Other great things about our city is the wonderful atmosphere of rundle street and rundle mall and the perfect lane ways like Leigh street and peel street.
Our festivals are what makes adelaide know in Australia. Fringe would have to be the biggest festival which is in march and is a great place to meet people and experience everything great about adelaide.

I recommend if your looking for a place to buy or rent go to realestate.com.au as very house for sale or rent will be on there.

If you could provide some more information like what type of job you do, your age and whether you have
kids then we can provide more advice on whether Adelaide is suitable.

If you do specialised work then Melbourne / Sydney would be a better option.

I'm 28, work in IT server/network administrator, my spouse is 25 and work as social worker, specialized to aged care and conflict managing
Instead of kids we have cars and motorcycles

IT and aged care, you'd probably go alright in Adelaide. The Adelaide Hills have some of the best motorbike roads in Australia, speaking from experience.

With IT if you have good experience and skills then you'll most likely find a job in Adelaide. It might take a few months
though. With Social work then it might not be so easy.

GHS, not sure what you mean 'not be so easy' for social work? Qualified aged care people are in demand today, and expected to grow dramatically in Adelaide over coming years. Also conflict management experience moves you up the queue.

And yep, there's a good motor enthusiast community across Adelaide.

Aged Care is going to be a massive industry in Australia in the near future for obvious reasons.
There's a lot of demand already here for it. So much so I know migrants from the third world who can barely hold a full conversation in English who have gotten jobs in aged care, making good money too.

Your wife wont have a problem getting a job in that field especially if she has experience.

I have odd interest in Korean 90s cars, now I have just two, one again crashed Hyundai coupe and one Daewoo racer, almost new, mileage just 96000 km, three speed automatic, planing to do new gold metallic paint with "Car of the year 1985" logo on side
And in future I want to get DeLorean
Bikes? It's little bloody and painful chapter for me, so now I don't have any.

And when I think about it, I'm also open to find some job in this sphere.

I don't think there's much of a "Korean car scene" in Adelaide. Not that I've come across or heard about anyway.
Now Japanese cars, such as Nissan, Toyota, etc, there's plenty of car clubs accommodating those makes. There's even track days, drift days and hill climb events that get held. I think there's some others here who are more into the imports car scene who could give you more information.
