Before anyone asks. That is NOT the render.
That's the Advertiser trying to be smart as usual. Nothing new in the article. All that was to be said (the important stuff) was said by CDJ.

Cheers

Whoever predicted that The Advertiser would copy the story that was broken here on the forums was indeed correct! (and add incorrect renders/info in the process).

So typical of the tiser - at least we give proper thanks to the people who source the information.

Could someone post the SA1 Tower article from the Advertiser please?

I assume the ‘announcement’ referenced by CDJ is different than the laughable Tiser article and is still to come?

That's correct! The Rupert Rag is just embellishing what's in the public lodgement notice. Render will be released when the client is ready. I had assumed a few days, but I think it's going to be a few weeks now.

Have to say that's a rookie move. The Advertiser is positively gormless. They'll make anything up and have people believing this building is a 300m tall squid threatening to steal your ambulances.

I met an Advertiser journo and he had this glassy eyed cult look. Genuinely wanted to sniff his own farts because he worked there.

Was waiting for this news since December. CDJ gave us a hint for something then. A little disappointed not pushed to the 200 metre limit, but beggars can't be choosers. Anyhow back in December I put this image together to see what reaction it would get but never posted it. A bit of an anti climax now I guess. Anyhow let's enjoy the moment.

Cheers
But why are these (red/black lines) relevant when the actual flight paths are far north from these developments (shown below)
Great image.

Does anyone know if we're likely to see buildings get up to/past 200m or nah?

Yeah, there's a 350m proposal going around but no-one figured it was worth making a thread on.

Yeah that's fair, 350m isn't that big a deal these days with the 1K+ towers on the cards abroad.
