It's going to make a massive difference to the last bit of the train ride into town when the hospital and this are built!

Much like the way many cities are developing - the railway yards are disappearing (ie In Bris Roma yards and Sydney near Balmain) and being taken over by bldg development. Yes Nort - the overpowering railway presence has being reducing ever since West End goods yards and steam went. Also the loco sheds and passenger stock sheds along the river as you entered Adelaide station have gone as well as a reduction of platforms from 13 to 8 occurring. It once was a sprawling, dirty, noisy, smokey ... and impressive, affair.

I agree - it will make a massive difference to the last paert of the train ride.

ADELAIDE - TOWARDS A GREATER CITY SKYLINE

I saw it this morning. It looks so impressive from Elder Park looking west. And just to think, in a year's time, we could be looking at potentially another 8 more at least in the same view; with the RAH development and Convention Centre expansion. Hard to believe.

I noticed that the safety school has gone too over the weekend... where has it gone? Or won't it be replaced... still remember going there when I was in Primary School and everytime a train went past, the railway signals in the school would come to life :D
