Was originally called Fortune Duck but had a quick refurbishment before, what it now appears to be a closed.

I was hoping for something more lively for Moonta St.

But I suppose this means the existing CBA on Gouger will become something else now.

Around Rundle Place today. Hopefully these will be a good “before” for whenever they reconfigure this:

All of these upper units looking into our premier mall just seem to be completely under-utilised.

There is just so much unused space upstairs now in a really nice, light, well connected central location. People seem to use it for somewhere quiet to sit and eat their lunch.

City Library has windows that look down into this space:

The fire above Boost was back in February and this lovely old building is still not looking great.

Yeah, I've been wondering about this one. Maybe insurance issues?

New "The Big Grill" on the north east corner of Topham Mall and Waymouth Street looks like finishing touches being added. Seems to be a large convenience store with a grill/takeaway and coffee/bakery. Will be open 24/7 so will add some more life to this area. The convenience store between CIBO and George's has shut down and the convenience store next door to Peppers Hotel seems not to be 24/7 anymore and closes around 9pm.

The former Metro Convenience is becoming a sushi burrito place run by the same guy as Bakmi Lim: https://www.broadsheet.com.au/adelaide/ ... uth-street

I hope the old Balfours insignia that used to sit in that glass oval is protected somewhere.

Gawler Place is gradually being rejuvenated.

Work is being done in the former Bag Heaven and Frank McCabe Jewellers.

Adelaide Convenience 24/7 and Bakery/Big Grill opened about 2pm today on the corner of Topham Mall and Waymouth Street. Seems to have a big focus on take away hot foods but does have indoor and outdoor dining. Also seems to be the best coffee loyalty card around...get every 3rd coffee free!

I noticed many shops seemed closed in Rundle Mall around 630pm tonight despite it being Friday late night shopping e.g. Apple Store closed, Reject Shop, Koko Black, most shops in Regent Arcade and Adelaide Arcade, plus several of the smaller shops nearer Pulteney St.

Is this the new normal post-Covid or are more shops just having flexible hours pending demand and weather etc?
