What kind of BS advertising crap is that. If anything, it's exactly the opposite, common dogboxes for common international students.
I thought it was a strange choice too. Not only do you have the connotation mentioned by Shuz, there’s also the fact that a big part of student living IS around common living, common rooms and then finding things you have in common with those you meet in the student community etc.
It had been quite annoying, especially for buses travelling along North Terrace. Many end up being 10-15 minutes late from this bit alone. They should be using the tram lane while this is under construction.

It's been more than 'quite annoying' for me.
Every day I have to wait an extra 15 mins to get home, just so a cheap student building can go up !
To think that a couple of years ago we had 3 lanes running west, honestly it makes me feel sick.
