Could elevation be a factor? Not that there would be much difference. I suspect that 203N is about a metre or two higher than 269N. As from the intersection of Frome and Rundle is pretty downhill from there to the Torrens.
I'm pretty sure there's a marked elevation shift between the two locations. I'm sure there's a AHD map that shows the topography of the CBD. Either which way it's certainly making an impact on the Skyline.

Cheers,

I think the core of this one might have topped out?

Doesn't look it, but between uni SA and the Myer Centre I recall that being uphill to the eye (but over that distance not felt in the legs). Then when you get to that intersection of frome and north terrace, you're falling off a cliff by Adelaide standards when you get through that intersection headed North. This building is on the other side, but it's easy to think there's a few metres different AHD without looking at a map.

As anyone who has driven on North Tce, it's noticeable.

This site is at about 63m, the corner of North Terrace & Frome is around 52m.

The core slipform is being removed as we speak. This has topped out as suggested by Patrick.

Has anyone else seen this night render yet? I can't remember where I found it, but I saved it a few weeks ago.

Have a look at the window placement from the Rundle Mall side... triggered.

I wonder if this will look as hideous as Dwell when wet?

Can they just grow vines up this dam thing to cover it up?

You know, green walls running along the sides where there is blank wall, using the fins as a guide is not a bad idea. Turn a turd of a building into something more visually appealing.

Scaffolding is up around the heritage building at the base, looks as though restoration works are about to commence.
