From a source close to this, 29 Twin Street behind the Ibis may become a 34 level mixed use development by Hines Property Group.

Jeez this pocket of the CBD could become quite the area for 100m+ developments.

Well it’s listed on their website as ‘coming soon’, so if it turns out to be 34 levels, looking at about 120m:

Where does it say anything is proposed, let alone 120m and 34 levels? :?:

I've moved the relevant posts from a different thread here. That should provide a bit of context.

Disappointing its student accom, but will be great for the mall.

Will hold out for the renders. The Student Acom proposed on North Terrace isn't so bad, if it is in line with this that then it mat be okay.
But yes sad that it is this. They are often so cheap.

So long as it looks good student accommodation is a good outcome for CBD development. Likely to be well occupied, brings up the CBD population and doesn't flood the market with commercial space.

If it looks anything like the recently built student accommodation however it needs to be knocked back.

Hopefully it looks similar style to Ibis and conservatory, and not Pullman

Ok I have a question about all these student apartments...say in 5 years time the owner of these buildings decide that "student aprtaments" on the top ten floors of all these city buildings was a stupid idea and it really should have benn luxury 2 and 3 bedroom apartments...can these spaces be easily reconfigured?

Could you turn 8 student apartments on the top floor into a 2 bedroom penthouse? (within reasonable cost I mean, of course if the budeget is unlimited, then you could)

I would say they would be designed in a way they could be converted, however one like Dwell and Atira would struggle purely because they have minimal outside views/natural light.
