These poor 3D renders of these student accomodation give me no hope. I'd honestly rather no development than most of them. They are such trash and poorly impact on our city.

Why have all the good propposals dried up in the last year? The Libral party?
It's student accommodation, it's always going to be poorly designed trash that give commie blocks a run for their money.
These developers for these buildings aren't interested in aesthetics and winning design awards. They are interested in making as much money as possible, that means getting the buildings up as cheaply as possible. After all, they're only going to house foreign students.

It's governments and planning authorities fault for allowing this trash to be built.

Too bad the swiss cheese building didn't have this type of cladding- it would have looked fantastic.

I agree. I wouldn’t have gone white but it would have improved it immensely.

Pictures from 2/5/2020- there seems to have been a change in the design at the top south west corner of this project. The original render shows a set back area with no column at all at the top south west corner? Please click on pictures for bigger.

Ben posted the following application to vary in August last year:

Looks like this may only be 15 levels now.
Variation to Development Authorisation 020/A004/19- Reduction in building height, amendments to the building facade, lift core and internal floor plan, deletion of level 15/16 sky lounge terrace and open pergola structure on level 15.
I'm not sure if the variation was ever approved, but it appears so. At the time I thought it would be declined because it seemed to reduce resident amenity.

Looking back at the pictures on page three, it looks to be incorporated in those.

This is looking more like 17/18 floors if you add from the ground to the completed level and then count the elevator holes in the core.

What? Assuming Wilkiebard's pic was taken on the 6th, they did four levels in 8 days?
