Work on the footings has started on the southern end. there is a small set down area for service core/lift core. The tops of the piles are visible and there is a part buried sludge tank( with the 3 manhole covers)

The first precast walls for this were installed today, looks as though this won't have a fixed crane. I'm not sure why a lot of these smaller developments are opting against fixed cranes... It seems to drag out the construction period significantly and it also involves blocking off entire laneways or streets...

My guess is it all comes down to cost and unfortunately they don't care much for the inconvenience it causes to locals or traffic flow. The problem must come down to it being approved in this form.

Yes it appears that they are not having a tower crane? A view of the precast wall panels from the rear (Gunson St). Picture Saturday 3/7/2021

Thanks for the pictures. Looking forward to this going up - this part of the city is starting to gain reasonable density. Now need for the nearby open-air car-park on Pulteney Street to get developed, the Paladio apartments site to get a new proposal and for the Tribe Hotel to go ahead.

Strange build
First few floors by mobile then a fixed crane
What would be the reason for this? Has it been done before in Adelaide?

Another (later) view from today 11/9/2021. Note the tower sections taper 1/2 way up.
