Yeah it's tiny and a waste of a prime site but I do think the building itself looks pretty good.

I'd prefer to see the cute little Edwardian building currently there done up to whatever this is.

And by "done up" it should be having that heinous paint job that it's "done up" with removed. Also appears that the ground floor has been defaced with some renovation (going by google street view). Yes, it's disappointing how frequently character buildings are 'updated' by painting them all black or all white. It's as bad as the aluminium cladding that they were routinely covered over with in the 60s and 70s. The whitewash on the old German Club on Pirie is especially egregious.
