All it said is that the author of the article caught a glimpse at the plans for the other towers and "can say that the only way is up..."

Observing the strength of lease holdings within CC1 and CC2 and the record prices that both towers sold for, I can't see Caversham waiting too long to release the next stage(s) of City Central. Exciting times ahead hopefully.

That sounds promising...

I heard that Adelaide Bank are looking to consolidate their CBD offices into a new head office location.....

Had a render of the food court and restaurant dining area to be constructed there, mentioned outdoor and indoor dining facilities and coffee shops (including illys). Also mentioned that they've had a look at recent designs for a new building .. but we're keeping a low profile on it, except mentioning that "the only way is up".

(sorry delayed reply.. what pistol wrote)

Anybody got any night shots of this from different angles. I mean night night not just dusk. :)

Wasted potential, giving what a great site it was.

The "spire" thing is ugly, and pointless really.
It's just a glass staircase.

Given the impact it's given the skyline from the south side of Adelaide, I was hoping for more from this one.
Yet again, it's another boring glass box.

To be honest I don't mind CC1

I think it's mainly the spire thing I don't like.

I thought it was scaffolding and it was still being worked on, but then realised that's just how it's meant to look.

I was hoping that was what you meant because CC1 is graceful in its simplicity - it's not just another glass block. It will also be completely transformed once CC2 is finished and attached to it.

Some of the food court tenancies are open now. There as an illy, italian place and daily bead. More to open soon.

Drove past on Friday night and noticed on the gray wall there is a massive screen projected showing advertisements and other videos but no sound...

From the Advertiser:
Chaos over building water leak

MICHAEL MILNES, POLICE REPORTER

August 22, 2007 02:15am
A SHOWPIECE city office building has been without mains electricity since Monday, forcing some tenants to ask staff to stay home.

A minor water leak in a 17th-floor bathroom has forced the 21-storey ANZ House in Waymouth St to operate from an emergency diesel generator since Sunday night.

The Advertiser understands numerous staff from the building - which houses various State Government departments, chartered accountants Deloitte Tohmatsu and the Australian Bureau of Statistics - have been told to stay home.

A spokeswoman for building managers Jones Lang Lesalle, Karina Randall, said yesterday that it was not a significant leak but "moisture has been detected in the electrical riser (part of the air conditioning system)".

Ms Randall said the problem would be "rectified in the near future, it will take some time".

Government departments contacted yesterday would not comment on how many staff were affected.

Yeah it's amazing how much we're dependent on electricity. We had a similar experience during a blackout in the CBD... basically sat there at our chairs wondering what to do. :D
