The former tenant; Bluey's Ute World next door has been sitting dormant since it closed down back in 2008.
So the whole building is either going to be refurbished or demolished. But still, good riddance to yet another eyesore!

Not sure if this might warrant it's own thread, but this new mixed use Retirement Village at Modbury ("Encore Apartments") is nearing completion. As well as 77 apartments, garden areas and car parking, there will be a Child Care Centre and a Cafe on the Ground Floor facing the street. This will definitely assist in activating this barren part of Smart Road.

It's on the southern side of Smart Rd, immediately opposite the Tea Tree Plaza O-Bahn Interchange. The building is quite imposing (one tower 5 storeys and the other 6 storeys) in a landscape that mainly has only had 1-2 storey buildings (excluding Modbury Hospital).

I will try and get some photos soon.

After nearly 50 Years, Hungry Jack's has moved from Gilles Plains to the new building in Hillcrest on the former Jarvis Ford/Skoda site.

New petrol station next door soon also.
Lucky because North East Road really has a lack petrol stations.

Also, two more new Carl's Jr outlets are being built in Clearview next to a new 'controversial' petrol station (Hampstead Rd) and Pooraka (On Main North Rd/Burma Cr/Merchant Cr)

Good to see TOD near a major O-Bahn interchange.

Is this Elizabeth one the one with a new Cafe Di Villis next door to it?

10/7/2021 work has started on the new Cancer Council SA HQ on 201- 202 Greenhill Road Eastwood. this project does not have any basement(s). note their current head quarters building (203-204 Greenhill Rd) is for sale even though it is still in use. There is no sign of any crane base?

In further very un-exciting news: the old Abbott printers site on the north side of Port Road, Hindmarsh will be a filling station and drive through food outlet of some sort. I've long found it almost impossible to find a filling station on Port Road so this comes as quite a relief.

I really wish the Hindmarsh section of Port Road would get its act together - it's a fairly nice stretch of road with heritage buildings, a wide landscaped central median, a fast growing and gentrifying residential population nearby and even a bloody tram stop and could be so much more than a strip of second hand furniture/appliance showrooms, accounting firms and other nondescript businesses :(

Not sure if this development has its own thread as I couldn’t find one, but the Parkview project in South Plympton that I live near appears to have had no activity on site for some time apart from some ground leveling a while back in readiness for the next stage.

Does anyone have any information on this project’s status and whether or not the townhouses are going to be built next, or instead the second 3 storey apartment complex?

Here are some photos from today:
