COM: Water World Upgrade

The planned improvements include the following:
1. New 12 metre high tower with 3 slides ( 2 straight fast slides and 1 slow curved slide).
2. New children's splash ground with 11 water elements
3. Upgrading of all existing pools including a new water filtration system, & plant rooms
4. New disabilty ramp into the 50m pool
5. Refurbishment of changerooms
6. New entry/kiosk/admin & function rooms.
The project is currently on track to enable the summer pool season to commence in November 2010.

Thanks for these pics, scooter. I'm very interested in this development personally, because I want to join a pool (lose the gut, am not a big fan of gyms) and Waterworld is the closest. These upgrades look like they'll seal the deal when it comes to what pool I will go to regularly. I'll use Payneham Pool's facilities in the meantime...

Since I need a new camera that takes better quality pics (My Fujifilm Finepix has stopped working), can anyone, escpecially Xaragma please take some more pics of the upgrade and post it to here?

I would help take some shots of it as I basically live down the street from there but my phone camera has broken and my real camera is at the repair shop :( when its fixed i'll start the shooting :)
Don't burn the Adelaide Parkland (preservation society)
