Handrails don’t look too bad.
They will be replaced in coming weeks with the same large screens found on the other bridges.

When driving on it at the moment I am taking in the view.
Dont see why the bridge would need throw screens as it is not designed for pedestrian access. Yes you could lob an apple core from a moving vehicle, but you can do that on any road anywhere at anytime.
It’s so all bridges look the same. I thought the same as you mate, it doesn’t require it but thanks to a few idiots who thought they would throw rocks for fun have killed any idea of it staying the way it is.

by how good is he
Anyone know if over Regency Rd will it be a bridge built near the site and moved into place like Darlington or an overpass just built in the place it is intended, like the Motorway?

At the recent R2P industry briefing session, McDow reported that they will build nearby and move into place.

The screens they've put up around the Torrens/South Road intersection/bridge and so on.. why couldn't they have had them powder-coated in the same colour as the brown poles that they screwed them on to instead of plain old silver? Would have looked much better as opposed to the after thought they look like now.

Presumably that was the condition they were in when they were shipped in from Christmas Island.

Good Morning all

I've uploaded a progress video for the Darlington Interchange upgrade, including the new Lowered Motorway section and the Ayliffes Road bridge.

You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeXA-lkr2sY

Any feedback is appreciated!

Looks like gantry foundation works to replace the old lane designator at the Marion Road offramp, and also where the current Marion Road AD exit sign is.

This Saturday (2/11) is when the lower section in front Tonsley opens. This now takes traffic under all the major intersections driving on South Road.

It’s now 90% completed.

Yes but only for northbound motorists.
