Afternoon all,

2 Air India Repatriation Charters from New Delhi scheduled into Adelaide next week. One on Tuesday and One on Friday. The aircraft will night stop and then continue to Melbourne and Sydney respectively where they will take out passengers back to New Delhi.

Not quite the render, but still fairly good. I'm curious as to whether they will be retiling the whole terminal to match the render, or not? I would have thought if they were that removing the hoarding was premature.

Qatar Airways returns to Adelaide this weekend with non-stop flights to Doha and beyond, marking the fifth Australian city served by the airline during the coronavirus crisis.

From August 16 2020, Qatar Airways will run two return flights per week on the route using its Airbus A350-900 aircraft, catering both to returning travellers and expats jetting back to Australia, and Aussie residents holding a government-granted ‘travel exemption’ to fly overseas.

One interesting thing about the timing of this whole Covid situation is how it means that for many people they won't have been to the airport when the upgrades were half complete. As someone who used to go to the airport every 2-3 months I'm looking forward to when travel is happening again and the airport feels all new and different.

Some interesting news out of the Middle East; Emirates has informed staff and the airport they will be returning to Adelaide in May 2021.

Also the Singapore Tuesday flight is continuing through November now. This probably indicates it's permanent.

No, the first photo is the main plaza area. I wanted to highlight the sheer barrenness of the airport.

The new section was closed off inside, so I was unable to take photos.
