This project, along with the Gawler Electrification Project, only reaffirm just how much the ARTC line needs to be removed from inner Adelaide.

There's some minor earthworks going on at the northern end of Ovingham station. Perhaps the platforms will be shifted slightly north?

Side note, as I wrote these words, a few drops of coolant trickled down a window of the 3030 car.

the bridge is nice, but theres like nothing to make the intersection better or express or something

like a right turn tunnel to churchhill road lol

or express for torrens rd traffic to city or to port adelaide

why even have an intersection there haha

There’s been a near-miss at the crossing. Boom gates failed to go down with a freight train coming through. Was caught on CCTV by an adjacent business, luckily no one was injured or killed.

I was at the community information session today where an updated design of the overpass was presented. New videos, renders and maps will be uploaded next week.

Key changes include:
- Increase of the bridge span to include more community space and facilities under the bridge
- Connection of Exeter Terrace and Drayton Street to improve local connections
- Extension of Devonport Road under the bridge to improve local connections
- Retention of the Guthrie Street connection to Torrens Road
- Re-route of Napier Street to connect to the Chief Street intersection.

I have put in feedback regarding the sudden end of the on-road bike lane as highlighted by Nathan and the lack of bike storage facilities at the station. I also put in feedback to at least upgrade SOME of the train station facilities like shelters and platform height.

Make sure you submit feedback to put more pressure on the government to include these essential changes.

Oh yay, so all the hipster trolls who've flooded into this inner north west pocket can have somewhere to meet and play now. Joyous times ahead.

Rev, you will be happy to know that they are proposing a parkour park under the bridge.
Bonus for the hipsters!

Google cites Wiktionary: Noun. chud (plural chuds) (US, slang) A gross, physically unappealing person.

Renown Park (and the older bits of Brompton/Bowden/Ovingham that front Torrens Rd) is filled with hipsters and “yuppy wankers” now?
