I dont think it turned out too bad. Not bad, not overly great.
Biggest let down are the steel ballustrades, reminds of that crap on south terrace, i dont understand why they use them when for most of the building they didnt. Brings the entire level of the building down, oh well.

Looks more like a smokers area rather than a balcony for sitting and relaxing.

They're pretty strange. but as far as I'm aware. none of the apartments have views overlooking that side. so it might be used if they build a sister complex on the old parking lot site.
Regardless, is anybody in yet?

Yeah it's obviously just a common lift/hall area. Whether there's a self extinguishing ashtray out there and it's for smoking or just servicing the planter boxes, potential fire escape, has a locked door, whatever...doesn't matter.
Either way it's a strange photo for the architect to use on their website as a design exhibit.

A few residents started moving in late last week. As for the "smoker's" balcony, the photos are a little deceiving as they are bigger than what is indicated by the photo. I was told that it was originally planned just to be a window. However, the decision was made to utilise this space on each floor with a balcony and a bit of greenery.

I'm new to this home buying thing. Would I need to attend settlement with bank cheques? Or does the conveyancer does it all??

Yeah the conveyencer will take care of that and tell you when you can pick up the keys. You just have to sort out power, internet, insurance etc.
