View from Wright St. Hard to see from a skyline viewing distance, but stands out very prominently in the immediate local area. (19/6/2020)

Could see the scaffolding/safety barriers have been removed from the upper levels when walking around today. Didn't get close enough to see any details, i'll just leave that to the keen photographers in the forum

Some signage has gone up on the eastern facade too.

I may very well be in the minority here, but on a gloomy or overcast day, this building (so far) is looking vastly busier and heavier, almost brutalist in appearance, when compared to the initial renders, does anyone out there in SAL feel the same?? I’m on the fence about its very busy aesthetic.
Awaiting completion to see it on a sunny day for a final call on this one...and also hopefully the photography whizzes on here can make it look good too when it’s completed.....

There's nothing brutalist about this building.

Lets hope Hotel Wright development is next.

Perhaps the podium has some brutalist elements (based purely on what I can see in this photo- haven't really followed it other than that), but I wouldn't have said the rest of the building does.
I would hate it if this style of building was continually replicated, in fact more than that- I think I would be physically sick! But as a stand alone building I don't mind it. It adds a bit of contrast and a point of difference to other buildings in its immediate surrounds and across the CBD.

Indeed. Maybe Ben knows more about the status of this one?

Nah, not even the podium. Too much glazing, and all of the concrete is pre-cast and non-structural, nor does it reflect the internal workings. Raw concrete is not the sole defining characteristic of brutalism.

The hotel Indigo name is on both the north & east side. Please click on picture for bigger.
