Piles have been bored around the perimeter of the site and these are now being capped with a continuous beam then excavation of a basement can begin . The tops of the piles can be seen in the first picture - The circular bits with the spikey rods with the yellow caps. The square bits of reinforcing in picture 3 are called ligatures which hold the long rods in place with 3 (or 4) long rods at the top and same number on the bottom of the beam. the whole lot then gets concreted over to form one continuous beam.

When this project was first announced in 2015 (see page 2 of this thread ), it was proposed to be 11 stories but judging from the sign outside the property now it appears as 12 stories.

As at 20 Aug piling is progressing in the basement for the actual building itself. The previous piling was for the side walls to hold back the sides of the basement. The concrete pump is the white piece of machinery towards the left of the picture. Please click on picture for bigger. I think there could be a tower crane in a month?

12/9/2020 it appears that the basement may be more than 1 level deep, but it is hard to see clearly due to the soil stacked up in front of the gate way.
