I thought they were just keeping the facades and demolishing the rest, but looks like they're keeping part of the building based on the clean up going on in that photo.

Excavations and restoration of the existing heritage buildings - Could be a good blend of re-using the old (GPO) with the new if done properly.

There have been issues with some of the subcontractors on this site. Insolvency issues...

Could be a reason for the slow pace of things.

Probably the rain!

The weather has played havoc with lots of sites in the past week or so. Delays on one site have flow on effects to the next.

This is very much still going ahead and any delays are only temporary
