The lights on the sign facing west are out of order. Currently 'The Switch' reads 'he wit' at night.

It's not terrible by any means. Obviously not the most attractive building, but it blends in somewhat with it's colour scheme and isn't an eyesore like a few other student towers are.

The original designs with more glass looked so much better. This just looks like a typical crusty Adelaide building, not horrible but not pretty.

God this building is an abomination, how it was approved on our premier terrace is beyond me. Communist tower chic.

They wanted accommodation for International students studying at Festival Plaza. I think it's some sort of exclusivity deal.

If communists were building something on North Terrace, it would have an amazingly bold facade with a gigantic colourful mural showing farmers and miners and teachers and soldiers all linked arm in arm exalting the proletariat to march confidently together into the future (or something like that). It would be incredibly kitsch and tacky but definitely not boring. The concrete Kruschevka's were reserved for the outer suburbs where no one would see them.
