Kinda wish Skycity had some strip lighting along its curves at night.

she is correct about this...
Wilkinson said that unlike other Victorian-era buildings in Adelaide, Parliament House and the Adelaide Railway Station were “designed to be seen in and around on all sides because they are on a parkland setting”.

In coming decades this trend of blocking these buildings from view entirely will be seen as shortsighted as we see the midcentury trend of attaching modern at the time facades to classic buildings. Forty to fifty years from now (not that many of us will be here to see it) I fully expect that buildings like the Skycity expansion will be removed entirely at the end of their life, with a big fanfare around reopening the views of buildings like the railway station.

I have one word for you. Cope.
Sandy (short for Alexander) is entitled to have his opinion and voice it.

Sandy often comes up with his own unsolicited proposals (particularly when he was a councillor). Not sure why this one is getting airtime, considering he did it nine years ago.
He designed this pearler for Colley Tce, Glenelg back in the day.

Maybe some people would rather look at a brand new shiny skyscraper

Looks like a Fender Katsalidis circa 2002 if they had a 13 year old intern

This building is now fully tenanted after Westpac signed a long-term lease of 9000m² of office space across five floors.

Damn, I’d hoped Westpac would take up the old Telstra House once refurbished with naming rights. I’m actually surprised that both Westpac and Allianz are moving in here despite there being no visual representation of their tenancy (I.e naming rights on the building).

Interestingly, SkyCity are going to reopen their North Terrace entrance from today. This was closed only a few months ago to coincide with the station lane redevelopment and the reopening of their heritage entrance. There will now be three entrances to the casino - North Tce, heritage and promenade.
I wonder if they noticed a downturn in foot traffic when the North Tce entrance closed?
