Not saying Mali isn't corrupt in any way but how and why would he have paid for an article in a foreign magazine? If there is anyone who'd push exposure of Adelaide to the world it would be Tourism SA. I think it is a nothing article to be honest but at least getting a mention somewhere is always good. Hopefully let's get a direct flight to the USA (North America) and get the odd reader to be curious enough to come here and see with their own eyes what we really have to offer. Let's be positive.

Cheers

lol Tourism SA is Government department

Its embarrassing IMO and just invites more ridicule. Its also false advertising and anyone gullible enough to make the trip based on this are going to leave disappointed and tell their friends. Its feels scammy and we don't want to get that reputation as well.

its even worse than that world's most livable city mag which some people still take seriously

To be honest, you'd have to be foolish to believe any mainstream media these days. Architectural Digest has about three times the unique viewership of the Advertiser...not sure I'd trust the Advertiser as toilet paper.

As for the AD, you'd have to examine the methodology and say why you think it's wrong. Most people don't go outside the tourist areas when they visit. So, even someone who travels a lot will struggle to know.

So, journals like AD that try, at least, to quantify the liveability are far better than someone who has done a couple of "Women's Weekly World Discovery" tours and scoffs at Adelaide.
