Having recently attended the Iluminate Adelaide installations along North Terrace, the soul-less blight that is the plaza bordered by the Napier and Ligertwood buildings became even more apparent. Completely at odds with the stately architecture on North Terrace.

There are numerous examples, namely in Germany and Poland of the reconstruction of beautiful heritage buildings. Thus, it can be done.

The problem I see here, would be how to energize and inspire the population to make it happen.

Is it possible - even a 1 percent chance - that the uni merger could see the bland, rubbish buildings of City East and Adelaide demolished and replaced with better?

62 years ago today of the destruction of the Jubliee building

This makes me so angry. Why the fuck would anyone demolish this. I got the urge to start a campaign to restore this, ring up the premier or the university management to ask

Seems my recent emailing to the news outlets and council is gaining a little bit of traction! :D

Will be good to see what they have to say about it

Certainly expansive.

You do see why it likely got demolished, I'm not sure what you could actually use it for (not a endorsement, just an observation)

How does people protesting equate to a place being "subhuman"? I'd much rather people are able to protest than live in some totalitarian dystopia where political views and free speech are silenced.

Melbourne's gone beyond being progressive, its been over run by the lunatic radical left and nutter conspiracy theorists lol.
Pretty much any weekend you visit, there's some group of dumb shits protesting something and causing a nuisance.

And edit my bad, they did use rubber bullets and other things.
Too bad they didn't use live rounds instead then.
Me and rev finally agree on something  should we put up a wall on the border? I’ll help build it

Haha we agree on plenty. 8)

I'm all for peaceful forms of protest, even if I don't agree with peoples reasons to protest in some cases. But throwing projectiles at police, at innocent bystanders, at the media, pelting peoples cars with eggs and other shit, and worst of all and something that should be treated as serious and harshly as possible, is throwing acid at the police (or anyone).
