The carpark exterior has been painted in a cream colour matching the new shopping complex.

Very good! It's going to be open to public in either December 2012 or January 2013.

Disappointed the Rundle Mall facade is so dull and uninspiring. Will there be at least a canopy to protect people from sun and rain? Haven't seen the plans.
Cheers

Haha, sorry mate. Don't know why, but I just don't seem to want to take your everyday vertical or horizontal photos. It's all about the angles.

I completely agree, although i always like to hold judgement until it is complete, it doesnt look good at this stage. Anything from here on, i fear will just be stickers to tart it up and to quote Darryl Kerrigan
"give the place a victoriana look".

Every time I walk by this in Rundle Mall, I hardly notice it. It's way smaller than it should have been and the facade has no real stunning design to it. What would have made it better would have been a better design for the face and at least 10-20 meters extra height IMO

Well, I like it. It's simple but effective. There's an even balance of glass vs. sandstone for each of the other to stand out. As for the blank wall on the third level, it's a good prime spot for billboards, video screens, or even just a good old fashioned neon light display of Santa and his merry reindeer, come Christmas time.

Have always thought this faux sandstone obsession in Adelaide is completely underwhelming, and here is the proof. BORING! I think a large advertising LED screen, along the length of the sandstone facade similar to the one outside the Entcentre would liven it up no end.

Just on that, you can't fully tell from the photos, but all of the Rundle Mall facade bar Apple has cut outs where supports for a canopy will go, which shows that Apple got its way with the ACC in relation to a canopy-less frontage.

But what happened to their typical silver cladded fronting?
