At a guess I'd say late November/December judging on what happened with CC1.

Logically when all the glass on the street facing curtain walls are finished the undercover walkways should go.

I think this one has topped out now. Looking good so far, can't wait to see some glass applied to the southern elevation pods, could look fairly interesting imo. Pics from today:

[COM] Re: U/C - City Central Tower 2 - 50.8m
Just noticed a rather sizable smash out of the highest corner glass section in the 2nd photo. All part of the construction process I suppose, CC1 had a fair few smashes. One as a result of the CC2 crane which still hasn't been fixed.

It doesn't look like a smashed piece of glass to me, but rather some protective seal slightly peeling off. I could be wrong though

If only the whole tower (CC1 also) was clad in this glass

Pods looking horn.

Great pics pikey, here are a couple from around lunch today:

Thanks Pikey and Urban for the pictures. The building is looking good, specially the pods. It is a welcome break from the boring glass box design.
In addition, I love the zoom of your camera Pikey! how much is the zoom of your camera?

Just noticed your question Will - my camera is a Fuji S5600, with 10x Optical Zoom.
I take it no one noticed the small tree on top of CC2 signifying the end of concrete pouring. It's an italian tradition.

I did notice that and thought it was a bit wierd to start a roof top garden before construction is complete but that makes sense now.Pikey wrote:I take it no one noticed the small tree on top of CC2 signifying the end of concrete pouring. It's an italian tradition.

The leaning tower of Piza was one of the first skyscrapers ever built, Too bad the footings were wrong.aussie2000 wrote:Didn't think Italy had skyscarpers or tall buildings lolPikey wrote:I take it no one noticed the small tree on top of CC2 signifying the end of concrete pouring.
