This project is only the last kilometre of Magill Rd, so if a tramway is built and there's a bit of street running in traffic, it's not a problem. Also, this project seems cheap at $2 million if that covers all they say they will do.

This was the proposed tram route by Weatherill. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trams_in_ ... /maplink/0 Too many corners in this suggestion, it should continue from North Terrace to Magill Road without turning.

Wasn't the plan here as part of a city loop to have it go up Rundle Street through the parklands? That seems to make more sense as that road is wide and has a lot less traffic than North Terrace.

From Campbelltown City Council Facebook:
Over several years, the Cities of Campbelltown and Burnside, with the support of State and Federal Governments, have committed to enhancing and improving the Magill Village area. On Friday, we came together for the sod turning ceremony to mark the commencement of the final stage of the project, which will transform the precinct’s streetscape and deliver significant economic benefit to the area.
The occasion was celebrated with the City of Burnside and was officiated by James Stevens MP, Vincent Tarzia - Member for Hartley, John Gardner MP, Jill Whittaker Campbelltown Mayor and Anne Monceaux - Mayor of Burnside.
The ceremony was held on Friday 12/11/2021 and at last marks the beginning of the final stage of the project, which was first announced in 2013 as a joint effort between the cities of Campbelltown and Burnside.
